Roa’a Zidan
Roa’a is a DHA licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with 3+ years of experience working
with toddlers, children, and adolescents with a wide range of speech, language, and
communication needs.
Roa’a has experience working across clinical and educational settings, supporting children with a variety of communication needs, including speech and language delays, articulation and phonological disorders, fluency disorders including stuttering, expressive and receptive language diFiculties, social communication diFiculties, and autism spectrum disorder.
Roaa’s expertise includes assessing and providing individualized intervention for children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs. She has experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), including PECS, TouchChat HD, and Proloquo2Go, as well as parent, teacher, and caregiver training and multidisciplinary collaboration. Her approach is child-centered and evidence-based, with a focus on developing functional communication skills and achieving meaningful outcomes for each child.
Roa’a has completed a range of professional development courses through ASHA, in addition to training in TalkTools® OPT Level 1, treating phonological and articulation disorders, and neuromuscular electrical stimulation. She is passionate about supporting children and their families and creating a positive environment that encourages children to develop their communication skills with confidence.
