Omotola (Tola) Abolaji
Omotola, fondly known as Tola, is a British, UK-trained Occupational Therapist who
qualified in 2011 with a BSc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy from Coventry University,
United Kingdom. She also holds a Master’s degree in Health Promotion from the
Prestigious King’s College London University.
Tola is professionally registered with both the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the UK Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
She brings extensive clinical experience gained across the UK National Health Service (NHS), private healthcare in the UK and UAE. Throughout her career, she has worked across a variety of settings including schools, specialist clinics, inpatient hospital and rehabilitation services, and within patients’ homes and community environments. This breadth of experience has shaped her holistic approach to understanding each child within the context of their everyday life, relationships and environment.
Tola is passionate about looking beyond a diagnosis or individual difficulty to understand the whole child. Her approach is holistic, strengths-based and personcentred, with therapy tailored to the individual child’s abilities, interests, environment and meaningful everyday activities.
Central to Tola’s philosophy is the belief that therapy does not happen in isolation. She is passionate about walking the therapeutic journey not only with the child, but also alongside their parents, caregivers and teachers. She values collaboration and works closely with the important adults in a child’s life to help therapeutic strategies translate into meaningful progress at home, at school and in the wider community.
As a mother of three children, Tola also brings warmth, empathy and a practical understanding of family life to her clinical work. She is committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, understood, encouraged and empowered to reach their individual potential.
Outside of her professional role, Tola enjoys travelling and spending quality time with her family
Tola’s philosophy: Every child is unique. Effective therapy begins with understanding each child, supporting the family and working together to enable meaningful participation in everyday life.
