Tamanna Bhardwaj
With 16 years of experience in pediatric occupational therapy, Tamanna Bhardwaj
believes that effective therapy begins with building a genuine connection with the
child. Her approach is child-centered, playful, and relationship-based, helping
children feel comfortable, understood, and confident while developing the skills
they need for everyday life and learning.
Tamanna works with children/adolescents from 6 months to 19 years, supporting a wide range of developmental and learning needs, including sensory processing difficulties, autism, ADHD, developmental delays, dyspraxia, motor coordination difficulties, dyslexia, handwriting and learning challenges.
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, she takes time to understand how each child learns, plays, communicates, responds to sensory experiences, and approaches challenges. Therapy activities are then adapted to the child’s strengths and needs so that children can participate meaningfully and experience success.
A key part of Tamanna’s practice is working closely with parents. She believes that parents are an essential part of a child’s progress and therefore focuses on helping families understand why a child may be struggling and, more importantly, what they can do at home to support them. Parents are guided through practical strategies that can be naturally incorporated into everyday routines, play, schoolwork, and self-care activities.
Tamanna also collaborates with teachers and other professionals involved in a child’s care to create a consistent approach across home, school, and therapy.
Tamanna aims for every child and parent to leave therapy with not only a sense of progress, but also a better understanding of what the child needs and how they can continue supporting that progress beyond the therapy room.
She is a certified Sensory Integration Therapist with additional training in Primitive Reflex Integration and Learning Disabilities. She holds a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy with a specialization in Developmental Disabilities and a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
