Azadeh (Azzy) Shafie is a highly experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over a decade of experience supporting children and young people across the UK and UAE.

She is passionate about empowering children and young people to communicate in ways that are meaningful and authentic to them. Throughout her career, she has worked across schools, nurseries, clinics, family homes, and teletherapy services, supporting individuals with a wide range of communication profiles.

Azadeh values a collaborative and family-centred approach, working closely with the wider team around the child, including parents, educators, learning support assistants, occupational therapists, psychologists, and behaviour specialists. She believes that meaningful progress is best achieved when everyone involved shares knowledge, listens to the child’s voice, and works together to create supportive communication environments.

Her practice is grounded in neurodiversity-affirming principles, recognising and respecting different ways of thinking, learning, communicating, and interacting with the world. She focuses on building trusting relationships with children, families and educators; creating engaging, functional, and strengths-based interventions that support participation, confidence, and well-being in everyday life.
